The goal of the Costs of War project has been to outline a broad understanding of the domestic and international costs and consequences of the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan.

The impacts of war and internal conflicts are always measured in terms of deaths of humans and destruction of human assets. But what about destruction of the environment and natural assets ? Contamination of surface and ground water? TERRE is developing policies to make environmental crime punishable.
