Beijing officially joined the Smart University Campus Network (SCCN), becoming an important milestone for SCCN’s global journey. Recently, PKU Shenzhen, one of the top universities in China, has joined SCCN and stated that it will work with other members of SCCN for the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). )contribute my effort.

This news indicates that the cause of ecological civilization construction will soon undergo a substantial transformation: uniting young college students to join the ranks of ecological civilization construction.

Peking University Shenzhen joins Smart Campus Cloud Network Tsinghua University getting ready to Join.

age to buy viagra Beijing, 10 DEC 2018 Peking University (PKU) Shenzhen, one of the topmost education institutes in China, has joined Smart Campus Cloud Network-SCCN-which is aimed to contribute to the United Nations Agenda 2030, its Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and to make the campus climate neutral. Peking University is the first university from China to join SCCN.

At COP 24, during the Press Conference of TERRE Policy Centre on 7th Dec , Tsinghua University, top most engineering and IT research hub of China has announced its intention to join SCCN.

SCCN is a tool to mainstream SDGs in the current education system through the exercises of ‘learning by doing’. More importantly, the network encourages the campus communities to deploy the digital technologies like IoT (Internet of Thing), AI (Artificial Intelligence), Cloud-networking, Machine-to-machine learning and Block chain to optimise use of energy, water in campus and catalyse effective waste management, sustainable transport, air pollution and nature conservation.

PKU Shenzen is a fully residential campus, spread over 55 acres and comprising of 8 schools and 30 research laboratories. As a member of Smart Campus Cloud Network (SCCN), it stands to avail global opportunity to share their practical contributory work on SDGs in the campus through a specially designed Cloud Dashboard.

“Keeping in-line with the fundamental principle and teachings of President Xi on developing shared future of ecological civilisation Peking University Shenzhen is excited to join the international movement of networking with universities through SCCN,” said Dr Wu Yundong, Chancellor of PKU Shenzhen.

Tsinghua University also conveyed its wish to make its campus climate neutral.

TERRE Policy Centre, a voluntary organisation based in India, has initiated this network that now has 60 universities as its members including those from India, Portugal, Brazil, Japan, Peru and Bhutan. It is supported by UNESCO-Paris and HRD Ministry of India.

‘ TERRE is profoundly pleased to welcome PKU Shenzhen in its ecological and development initiative of SCCN. It also welcomes the announcement of Tsinghua University to join the campus network. Deployment of the modern technologies would benefit PKU Shenzhen campus to become world-wide example of Laboratory of SDGs”, said Rajendra Shende, Chairman of TERRE and former Director of UNEP.

Prof Dr. Jinfeng Zhou, Secretary General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), Executive Committee member of the Club of Rome and product of PKU Beijing and closely associated with said “Each campus is the educational and natural heritage of the mankind. Leveraging that wealth and treasure for the innovations for Smart future means contributing to the President Xi’s dream of open and inclusive development’.

Prof Zhou would oversee the spread of the SCCN in China , as its senior advisor.
