Reimagining Ranking!

The National Board of Accredition (NBA) is an authority for accreditation and National Institutional Ranking Framework ( NIRF ) grade and rank the Universities and Institutes of Higher Education in India.

The ranking of institutions is set to be revolutionized to enrich and enhance the assessment by adding Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs) and climate action like carbon neutrality.

How?

Prof Anil Sahasrabudhe Chairman of NBA and NIRF is steering this transformation. Green TERRE Foundation, under the aegis of Dr Rajendra Shende, has been inducted in the committee formed for the very purpose. This will help creating actionable awareness and promote carbon neutrality-net zero targets in educational institutions campus.

The ranking framework will now include criteria related to SDGs, Mission LIFE launched by PM Modi jointly with UN, Net Zero as recommended by IPCC, ESG under UN’s principle of responsible investment, G20 outcome under India’s presidency and New Education Policy kicked of by Minister of Education Mr Dharmendra Pradhan.

Green TERRE is proud to be a committee member of NIRF that includes experts from Academic World and IITs. It would help Indian ambition to become one of the first few countries in upgrading futuristic , inclusive and integrated education holistically.
