Alphabets of Environmental Literacy: Do we have time to learn Alphabets or we just Jump-start the Actions?

In collaboration with Earth Day Network, ( EDN ) TERRE Policy Centre organized an intense discussion on the topic of ‘Environmental Literacy’. The day was 4th April, 2017. TERRE organized this discussion to have expert’s suggestions on the topic, on which, a ‘White Paper’. Would be published by EDN.
Education, Industry and Media got together in a round table to present up their views on environmental education and literacy in Indian context. The discussion included:
¬ what is the current situation of environmental education and policies,
¬ what future actions can be taken for enhancing the Environment Literacy at grass root levels.
After the brainstorming, various recommendations for the actions towards effective Environment Literacy were listed. TERRE will soon publish a ‘White Paper’. This paper will include guidelines to effectively impart the environmental education to bring the change in Society and the mind-set.
