A new study links a ban on the uses of ozone depleting chemicals to a hiatus in temperature rises since the mid 1990s.

IPCC’s latest assessment has acknowledged that there had been pause in rise of global warming since 1990s. But it stopped short of explaining the reasons, calling it ‘atmospheric short term ‘ phenomenon. Journal of Nature Geoscience explains that reason could be: CFC ban under the Montreal Protocol.
